Best way to store loose leaf tea?

Just wondering whether anyone can recommend a method of storing loose leaf tea. Should all teas be stored the same way or do storage methods differ depending on the type of tea?
Looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say.

Importantly, drink it as soon as possible. If stored well I tea can retain its flavour for 12 months - others may have a differing opinion. I hope that helps.
