Tea and Pasta Soup

Ingredients

5 cups (1,250 mL) vegetable stock, broth or bouillon
4 large garlic cloves, minced or pressed
3 tsp (15 mL) thyme, lightly crushed
3 cups (750 mL) broccoli, chopped
8 ounces (250 mL) small pasta shells
1 cup (250 mL) Tetley Green Tea, brewed
2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Combine the vegetable stock, garlic and thyme in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Add broccoli and pasta. Stir, reduce heat and simmer until pasta is al dente, about 8-12 minutes.
  3. Add Tetley Green Tea, simmer for 1-2 minutes then remove pan from heat.
  4. Stir in lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste.
